CLINICAL INTEGRITY & LEGAL FRAMEWORK
Ethical Holding
Psilocybin work is only as deep as its container is safe. We hold this experience with trauma-informed clinical standards, explicit consent boundaries, and total legal transparency in the pastoral quiet of Drenthe.

LEGAL TRANSPARENCY
In December 2008, the Dutch Ministry of Health amended the Opium Act to restrict dried and fresh cultivated mushrooms. Crucially, the Supreme Court and legislative record explicitly excluded sclerotia (subterranean subterranean psilocybin truffles), leaving them completely unprohibited, taxed, and legal under national commerce statutes.
To strictly abide by regulatory lines, retreat tuition covers room, board, somatic facilitation, and post-integration guidance. Fresh sclerotia are bought individually by each participant from an authorized, certified Dutch smartshop partner on site for €40. You retain legal possession throughout.
Metamorphosis is an intentional container for holistic reflection, somatic nervous system balance, and existential discovery. We are not an acute psychiatric inpatient unit, hospital, or substitute for physician-directed pharmacotherapy.
“True somatic safety begins by telling the unvarnished truth: our containers do not heal you; they create the pristine biological and relational conditions for your organism to remember how to heal itself.”

HAVELTE SANCTUARY
MEDICAL & PSYCHOLOGICAL GUARDRAILS
We maintain an uncompromising ethical posture. Psychedelic work is deeply transformative for appropriate candidates, yet profoundly unsafe for others. Discernment is our prime duty of care.
RECOMMENDED
Ideal candidates are individuals feeling stable in everyday functioning, seeking relational clarity, nervous system reset, or genuine ontological re-enchantment.
Navigating burnout, career evolution, existential inquiry, or the conscious closure of prolonged grief.
Those who understand their narratives intellectually but feel unresolved patterns persistently lodged in their body.
Working through recurring relational anxieties, intimacy barriers, and developing emotional self-attunement.
Ready to do the somatic grounding and lifestyle homework without looking for a passive magical antidote.
Curated cohort of only 8 to 10 individuals per retreat cycle
STRICT EXCLUSIONS
Due to pharmacokinetic interactions and psychodynamic intensity, we cannot accept individuals presenting with any of the following clinical factors:
Personal or first-degree family history of schizophrenia, bipolar I affective disorder, or transient psychotic episodes.
Active use of SSRIs, SNRIs, MAO inhibitors, lithium, or antipsychotics. We do not advise or supervise medical tapering.
Severe hypertension, cerebral aneurysms, coronary artery disease, or recent history of stroke or cardiac arrhythmia.
Active chemical dependency, acute suicidal intention, unaddressed dissociative identity disorders, or pregnancy/nursing.
Physician coordination available upon written medical release
PROCEDURAL ARCHITECTURE
Safety is an active, moment-by-moment biological holding pattern, meticulously maintained before, during, and long after the ceremonial experience.
01
A comprehensive bio-psycho-social intake questionnaire, reviewed by our medical director, followed by an intimate 30-minute 1:1 video consultation with our lead facilitators to assess mutual readiness.
Duration: 2–3 Weeks Prior
02
We never host large assemblies. A maximum of 8–10 participants is held by three experienced somatic facilitators who stay awake, attentive, and fully grounded inside the room for the entire duration of each ceremony.
Constant Presence: 7–8 Hours
03
Our absolute baseline is zero touch. If grounding support is requested, touch is restricted strictly to an open handhold or stabilizing shoulder touch, permitted only with explicit, recurring verbal consent.
Zero Non-Consensual Touch
04
The retreat does not conclude on departure day. We hold structured 2-week and 4-week post-retreat virtual integration circles, provide a bespoke somatic integration workbook, and facilitate an intentional peer-buddy framework.
Timeline: 30 Days Ongoing
“We never suppress somatic emotion; we widen the nervous system’s capacity to contain it.”
SOMATIC COMPASSION
In pop-culture psychedelic discourse, challenging moments are frequently mislabeled as “bad trips.” In somatic clinical practice, we see them as inevitable, necessary subterranean material surfacing for emotional resolution.
When fear, suppressed grief, or existential disorientation emerges, our facilitators do not intervene with forced positivity or psychoanalytic chatter. Instead, our interventions are quiet, anchored, and somatic:
Guided vocal sighing, grounding blanket weight, and regulated vagal breath cues to help the physiological system remember it is safe.
A facilitator sitting calmly beside your mat, breathing in harmony, ensuring you never feel abandoned in the deep waters of consciousness.
Validating non-verbal tremors, spontaneous crying, and involuntary postural discharge as healthy physiological processing.
ETHICAL TRANSPARENCY
We never want financial obligations to compromise therapeutic discernment. If during your intake assessment or 1:1 medical consultation we determine this retreat is not clinically safe or ideally suited for you, your registration deposit is refunded immediately and in full. No questions asked.
Zero Risk Assessment
Direct Clinical Review
Strict Discretion
Confidential, non-binding 30-minute dialogue with our lead facilitators.
Possibly, but only after a medically supervised discontinuation and an adequate washout period confirmed by your prescribing physician. We never advise or supervise tapering ourselves. Your full medication history is reviewed during the confidential intake and 1:1 medical consultation before any place is confirmed.
Fear is treated as meaningful material, not an emergency. A facilitator stays beside you and uses slow vagal breathing cues, grounding weight, and calm verbal presence. Touch is only offered with your explicit consent, and we never suppress what is surfacing; we help your nervous system widen its capacity to hold it.
A sober medical and somatic attendant is on-site around the clock, and every facilitator is trained in first-response procedures. The nearest emergency hospital (Meppel Ziekenhuis) is 14 minutes away, and a clear escalation plan with emergency contacts is agreed with every participant before the retreat begins.
