These terms are crafted not merely to limit liability, but to establish explicit psychological safety, relational clarity, and sovereign personal agency for each of our 8–10 retreat guests.

SECTION 01
Foundational Intent
Metamorphosis Retreats (herein operated by Metamorphosis Retreats B.V., registered under Dutch corporate jurisdiction) coordinates high-trust, residential exploratory retreats situated at Het Voorhuis within Meeuwenveen Accommodaties in Havelte, Drenthe.
The retreat experience deliberately integrates trauma-informed somatic psychology, diaphragmatic breathwork, non-dual inquiry, relational authentic communication (Circling), silent forest integration walks, and an intentional sacred psilocybin truffle ceremony. Our cohorts are limited strictly to 8–10 participants, supported continuously by a 1:3 facilitator-to-participant ratio.

Metamorphosis is intentionally curated for emotionally grounded individuals who possess adequate personal resilience and self-sovereignty. You understand that deep introspection and altered states can bring unintegrated emotional material to consciousness. By agreeing to these terms, you commit to showing up in emotional maturity and active collaboration with the facilitation team.
SECTION 02
Therapeutic Boundaries
While our lead facilitators possess university training, state-recognized licenses, or rigorous professional certifications (including Dirk Plas, certified Body Psychotherapist and senior somatic facilitator), Metamorphosis Retreats does not constitute a clinic, hospital, inpatient psychiatric sanctuary, or emergency crisis stabilization facility.
“We provide compassionate nervous system holding, trauma-sensitive somatic grounding, and reflective inquiry. We do not provide clinical psychiatric diagnoses, medical cures, or pharmacological crisis treatment.”
Participation is in no way a substitute for personalized psychiatric intervention or ongoing psychotherapy for acute clinical conditions. If you currently experience active psychosis, bipolar I mania, acute suicidal ideation, or severe borderline pathology, our container cannot safely meet your needs. All participants must confirm sovereign ownership over their mental and physical well-being.
SECTION 03
Dutch Law Compliance
Metamorphosis Retreats operates in meticulous compliance with the Dutch Opium Act (Opiumwet) and the landmark administrative provisions of December 1, 2008. While psilocybin mushrooms in whole dried form are classified under List 1, fresh underground psilocybin sclerotia (commonly known as ‘magic truffles’) are entirely exempt from the Opium Act and fully legal to possess, trade, and consume within the Netherlands.

Safety Screen & Guarantee
Booking any seat in our 8–10 person cohorts is provisional until completion and mutual approval of our confidential 30-minute 1:1 Suitability Video Consultation with a lead facilitator.
Zero-Risk Screening Guarantee
If during or following this confidential intake dialogue either you or our clinical team concludes that our container is not therapeutically aligned with your current nervous system needs, 100% of your paid deposit or tuition will be refunded immediately without administrative deduction or penalty.
This screening guarantees that every individual in the room has been thoughtfully vetted, mitigating group distress and ensuring profound relational trust.
SECTION 05
Financial Investment
Retreat tuition is set at a transparent all-inclusive rate of €1,750 (inclusive of Dutch VAT).
RESIDENTIAL LODGING & MEALS
3 nights in private or curated twin accommodation at Het Voorhuis; all organic vegetarian chef-prepared meals, botanical teas, and nourishing snacks.
FACILITATION & HOLDING
Continuous 1:3 facilitator presence, bodywork, Circling sessions, breathwork, acoustic live soundscapes, and shuttle service from Steenwijk/Meppel train stations.
POST-RETREAT INTEGRATION
Two dedicated 90-minute group Zoom integration circles held at 14 and 30 days post-ceremony, plus a comprehensive 40-page somatic integration handbook.
SUNDAY DECOMPRESSION EXTENSION
Optional Sunday night quiet stay (€50 supplement) for extended rest, self-catering kitchen access, and departure Monday morning by 10:00 AM.
Payment Schedule & Installments
A reservation deposit of €500 is due upon booking confirmation. The remainder may be paid in full 30 days prior to arrival, or partitioned through our 3-Month Interest-Free Installment Schedule via SEPA direct debit or major credit card.

Cancellation & Transfers
Because our cohorts are strictly capped at 8 to 10 guests to maintain clinical depth, last-minute cancellations directly compromise the retreat’s financial viability and intimate relational dynamic. We hold a clear, humane, and tiered cancellation schedule:

Compassionate Medical & Bereavement Provision
In instances of acute medical incapacitation, severe familial bereavement, or physician-certified emergent health diagnoses occurring within 14 days of departure, our directorship handles requests on a case-by-case basis with deep human empathy, prioritizing rollover to a future retreat date wherever possible.
SECTION 07
Safe Container
The profound safety of Metamorphosis Retreats rests entirely upon mutual, uncompromising ethical agreements upheld by every person in the house:
Strict Consent Culture:
Non-verbal and verbal consent is required for all forms of touch, hug, or relational work. During psilocybin journeys, facilitator touch is restricted exclusively to grounding somatic contact (e.g., placing a reassuring hand on a shoulder or foot) and only with prior explicit participant permission. Sexual intimacy between participants during the retreat container is firmly prohibited.
Zero-Tolerance Substance Policy:
The possession or consumption of recreational alcohol, unprescribed pharmaceuticals, illegal substances, or non-sanctioned plant medicines on the grounds of Het Voorhuis is strictly prohibited.
Sacred Confidentiality:
Everything shared within sharing circles, somatic inquiries, and ceremony stays strictly within the cohort. Recording devices, social media capturing of other guests, or revealing identities is grounds for immediate expulsion.
Right of Dismissal:
Facilitators hold absolute authority to respectfully remove any individual whose behavior threatens the physical, psychological, or emotional integrity of the group. In such exceptional circumstances, no tuition refund will be granted.
SECTION 08
Health Disclosures
You warrant that all disclosures made during your medical and psychological screening intake are complete, candid, and medically accurate. Specifically, you agree to inform our facilitation leadership of:
Concealment of medical or psychiatric conditions voids any liability on the part of Metamorphosis Retreats and may compromise your safety and that of the cohort.
SECTION 09
Legal Jurisdiction
To the maximum extent permitted by Dutch civil law (Burgerlijk Wetboek), Metamorphosis Retreats B.V., its directors, guest clinicians, and venue proprietors shall not be held liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from personal decisions taken following retreat attendance.
Our total aggregate liability under any statutory or contractual claim shall strictly not exceed the total amount of tuition fees actually received by us from the participant.
Force Majeure
Metamorphosis Retreats is not liable for failures or delays resulting from acts beyond reasonable control, including natural catastrophes, transport strikes, Dutch state regulatory interventions, or severe pandemic travel bans. In such occurrences, bookings are automatically credited towards future cohort dates without penalty.
Governing Law & Settlement of Disputes
These terms are governed exclusively by the laws of the Netherlands. Any controversy, dispute, or claim arising out of or related to this agreement that cannot be amicably resolved through mediation shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent court of the Northern Netherlands (Rechtbank Noord-Nederland, location Assen).
PERSONAL INQUIRIES & ACCOMMODATIONS
Legal clarity should never feel adversarial. We welcome nuanced questions regarding medication tapers, physical mobility access at Het Voorhuis, dietary requirements, or private room allocations.
